Byooti Online Hair Shop
I've pretty much nailed my hair care routine over the years. I know what my hair responds to, so I don't tend to change my products as much as I used to. It's basically the above, plus shea butter and the occasional Cantu product!
Hair care was definitely on my hit list for this project. I've always bought my products from high-street shops like Paks and occasionally picked up a few things in Boots. It didn't sit well with me, I knew there had to be an alternative, but finding a shop that wasn't on the other side of London was a mission! I was beyond excited when I found Byooti. This online hair boutique offers pretty much everything, all of the big branded products, plus a few of their own brand oils.
The website was joy to browse, and the customer service was excellent. The team emailed me the day after I placed my order to let me know that one of the products I selected was actually out of stock. They sent me a refund for the original product, and sent me something similar that they had in stock. Can't really ask for more.
I ordered on a Friday and my box arrived on Tuesday, well-packaged with lots of orange tissue paper and bubble wrap on the bottles.
Byooti is convenient, well priced and from what I can tell, is owned by two black women. They also have a Pay It Forward range which donates money from the purchase of certain products
to provide Math and English tuition for African and Caribbean children who need it. I didn't buy anything from this range, however I might be tempted to try something new next time because of this.
I can't see myself shopping for my hair products anywhere else anytime soon. Obviously, ordering online takes a bit of forward thinking to make sure you've always got what you need, but hopefully I can get my ish together, and make this a permanent money switch.
