30 Day Yoga Challenge - Week 2
Shit got real. Moments after I published the post about my first week of the challenge I was back on the mat thinking about quitting. The first 5 routines where clearly there to ease you in and encourage you not to quit. They made me feel good about myself.
And then boom. Session 6 came through with an ‘oh, so you think you’re nice’ attitude.
Over the past 10 years I’ve had a few bouts of back pain. Once so bad I couldn’t get out of bed for two days. I’ve never been to the doctors, which is probably silly, but I mainly put it down to big boobs and bad posture. If I sit in an unsupportive chair, have my ironing board too low or bend over the bath for too long, I’m pretty much guaranteed to feel a twinge
This weeks sessions have involved elongating the spin, weird twisting moves and insane side stretches. I’ve been walking around clicking like a jazz bar audience for the past week. It’s definitly strange, but feels oddly satisfying. I feel like I’m smoothing our years of crunched up bones and tense back muscles.
Onwards and upwards
