First Long Run
I’ve been running on and off again for the past year. Just getting up and running until I felt like going home - sometimes that meant I was running for just 10 minutes! Not ideal.
I’ve always used the Nike Run Club app to track my runs, but when I opened it up on this summmer Saturday I was challenged to do my first long run.
As it was morning, I paired it with the HeadSpace Morning Run session. I’d definitely recommend this as a change to music from time to time. The speaker reminded me to breath properly, release any tension I was holding onto and almost had me slipping off into some sort of meditative state of running.
This is the first time I’ve run for 30mins, so I’m pretty proud. I’ll probably treat myself with and oversized ice cream or something equally as calorific!
