Spicy Herby Garlic Roasted Nuts

Spicy Herby Garlic Roasted Nuts

Herby Roasted Nuts

I basically came up with this recipe because I found a cute jar for £2 in Asda and wanted to buy it. Yep, I’m that ridiculous, I bought the jar first, then forced myself to think of something useful to fill it with in order to justify the purchase. I’m always looking for a savoury snack to chomp on at work that isn’t crisps. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still gonna eat crisps, but I figured if I keep a jar of something healthy and long lasting on my desk, it might encourage me to make a healthy decision every now and again. And thus the Spicy Herby Garlic Roasted Nuts were born.

Herby Roasted Nuts

Ingredients

  • 500g raw mixed nuts - anything you like

  • Tablespoon of oil

  • Garlic Powder

  • Rosemary sprigs

  • Cumin

  • Paprika

  • Chilli Powder

  • Rosemary

Method

  1. Chuck nuts in baking tray

  2. Add the sprigs of rosemary

  3. Sprinkle your spices (be generous, you need to really coat the nuts to get the flavour)

  4. Drizzle with oil

  5. Shake it all about

  6. Bake in oven at 200 degrees for 12 minutes

  7. Wait to cool down, then place in your silly jar

And you’re done. If you’re a big savoury fan like me, these should help to satisfy those 4pm hunger pangs. Plus the protein hit you’re getting from the nuts is great for veggies, flexies, pescies and vegans alike.
